Autodesk made available a trial version of 3ds Max 2010 and 3ds Max Design 2010 for download. Head over to their site, fill out the form and give Max a spin

Python 2.6 had been officially released on 01.09.2008! Some really great new features but still compatible with 2.5 code, which is great for slowly transitioning to the upcoming Python 3000.

Don’t hesitate a second and go for the download!

A friend and a colleague of mine, Petr Rohr, asked me whether I could host his latest showreel as he doesn’t have a reliable hosting provider, yet. Since the showreel is really good and Peter is a great dude, I didn’t hesitate a second before saying yes Further more, I thought it’d be cool to not only host the reel as download only files, but also host a stream version of it, although in a smaller resolution and quality. So here it is in its full glory:

Specialists demand special tools. This is what drove me to create these two, very specific, custom texture maps for VFX professionals. The first of the two is a custom UV texture map used for visually evaulating the level of precision and correctness of UV coordinates on 3D meshes. The other one is a custom TRACKING texture map developed for compositors for 2D tracking purposes of 3D renders or any other 3D elements that were 3D tracked and rendered.

The materials are back on-line! I’ve decided to move these downloadable materials here, so that anyone can download and use them as they like! I was quite surprised by the response I got from people around the world when I temporarily took the materials down from my business web site, duber.cz, so here they are in their original form in one, convenient, package:
